WKU News From the Hill - February 2012 Untitled Document

January News From the Hill

Come be transported to the early days of Oklahoma's history as you watch WKU students kick up their heels and entertain with a story of young love. You're sure to leave the theatre humming such favorites as "Surrey with the Fringe on Top" and "People Will Say We're in Love."

Letter From the Executive Director
Donald Smith

Greetings from the Hill!

As we have alumni events around the country in an effort to keep alumni connected to the institution, it's heartwarming to hear all the stories about how WKU has shaped so many lives. Whether building the skills necessary to enter the workforce, developing friendships that will last a lifetime, or shaping one's future character, WKU has had a meaningful impact on all those who are fortunate enough to call this special place their alma mater.

For nearly 11,000 of you, WKU is also the place where you met your spouse. I hope the red and white of the Valentine's Day occasion also brought back many memories of your time on "the Hill" and the great experiences you shared. We can't wait for you and all the members of the Hilltopper Family to come back and celebrate in your new home when the Augenstein Alumni Center is completed in December 2012. To view the progress or to make a gift to ensure your name is part of this exciting project, visit our website at As always, "The Spirit Makes the Master."
