Greetings from the Hill!
The fall semester is fast approaching, and we are eager to welcome everyone back to the Hill, especially our new freshmen – the class of 2016. We are looking forward to teaching these future alumni about the history and traditions of WKU. It is important for these students to stay the course toward Commencement in 2016, but we also want them to realize their connection with WKU is not just a four-year experience. The relationship they develop with their alma mater is truly a lifelong journey.
Our role as alumni is to help set the example for these current students to follow in the years to come, so please continue to stay involved with WKU and help your institution by volunteering time, recruiting future students, mentoring current students, providing financial support, wearing WKU gear, and waving the red towel with pride.
It's an exciting time to be a Hilltopper, and I hope you will continue to build your own connection with WKU in meaningful ways. Always remember, "The Spirit Makes the Master."
Sincerely,
Donald Smith '94
