Student Alumni Ambassadors is an official student organization of the WKU Alumni Association.  Ambassadors are selected based on campus involvement, academic performance, and a desire to promote the WKU Spirit.  Our students provide an extra measure of hospitality to current students, donors, and alumni. We place great significance on promoting WKU and communicating the importance of alumni support.  Ambassadors work closely with the Alumni Association and various community groups to promote WKU.

AMBASSADOR REQUIREMENTS

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher

  • At least second semester freshman standing

  • Full-time enrollment as an undergraduate student

  • Excellent oral communication skills

  • Desire to become engaged in communicating the benefits of the Alumni Association to current students and recent graduates 

AMBASSADOR RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Promote WKU Spirit

  • Ability to devote a minimum of 15 hours each semester to various events

  • Ability to devote 4 hours per month to office hours

  • Participation in mandatory bi-weekly meetings on Tuesday at 9:00 PM

  • Participation in a minimum of one Homecoming event

  • Assist with Alumni Programming events

  • Actively participate in fundraising including Homecoming Red Towel fundraiser

  • Assist in fundraising efforts for WKU Student Philanthropy benefiting the WKU Student Emergency Fund

  • Give builidng/campus tours, as needed
