Lifetime Member Joe Reeves (’93) and Jeanne Fisher (’08) recognized by WKU’s Gordon Ford College of Business
The Gordon Ford College of Business recently recognized two prominent alumni at its annual end-of-year awards banquet. WKU Alumni Association Lifetime Member Joe Reeves (’93) received the 2017 Alumni Achievement Group, and Jeanne Fisher (’08) received the Recent Alumni Award.
Reeves, who currently lives in Louisville, Ky., graduated from the Gordon Ford College of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He is currently the Managing Partner of ARGI Financial Group. Two years after graduating, he started ARGI with his colleague, Ron Butt. Since 1995, ARGI has grown to more than $18 million in revenue, and today manages more than $1.3 billion through ARGI Investment Services. “Joe always goes beyond what is required, and his work always adds many dimensions that raise the final product to levels that are significantly superior to that of his peers,” said Dr. Indu Chhachhi, WKU’s Chair of the Department of Finance. “I believe he is the epitome of what WKU alumni should strive to become: humble, philanthropic and admired. He is the hallmark of a true leader, and what this award represents to all WKU alumni.”
Fisher, of Bowling Green, Ky., received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Gordon Ford College of Business, and is a Financial Planner at ARGI. “Since graduation, Ms. Fisher’s achievements include, most remarkably, the unique and distinguished honor of selection as a Certified Financial Planner Board Ambassador, resulting from mold-breaking prominence at ARGI Financial Group, countless local and national media appearances and citations, and a continued dedication to WKU Financial Planning,” said Andrew Head, Director of WKU’s Center Financial Success. “In her role as Certified Financial Planner Board Ambassador for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, she serves as a financial education resource for associations, organizations and publications across the nation. She is an ideal ambassador for WKU Financial Planning, keeping the bar set very high for recent alumni of the Gordon Ford College of Business.”
