Each year, Western Kentucky University recognizes four staff employees for outstanding and meritorious service. These individuals are presented a $500 award on behalf of the Alumni Association at the annual Fall Break Brunch.
Honorees are rewarded for their service above and beyond the call of duty; innovation and creativity; positive contributions to the work environment; safety and heroism; enthusiasm, cooperation, courtesy and fairness to others; and exhibition of the “WKU Spirit.”
The Alumni Association provides four staff awards for 1) Administrative Support, 2) Building Services Attendant, 3) Skilled/Technical/Paraprofessional, and 4) Professional. These Staff Excellence Awards are a small token of appreciation to shine a light on a dedicated and loyal group of staff who create a positive WKU Experience for the alumni of the future.
