Ever think about your college roommate, or the person who sat behind you in biology class? Would you like to renew some college friendships? Perhaps you need help planning a reunion, but don’t know where to start. The WKU Alumni Association is the place to begin. Whether your reunion is affinity or class-based we can lend a helping hand in reconnecting you to your alma mater. A reunion can be as simple as a picnic on South Lawn, to a cocktail reception at Van Meter to a weekend full of activities.
What is an affinity reunion?
Affinity reunions are a gathering of alumni based on their involvement in or affiliation to a particular group, experience or common connection (i.e. fraternities, SGA or band.). An affinity reunion can take place anytime during the year, although several affinities take place during the fall, particularly during Homecoming weekend. The WKU Alumni Association has supported affinity reunions for the following groups:
- Sigma Alpha Epsilon
- Pi Kappa Alpha
-
Band Alumni
- Topperettes
- 1952 Football Team
- College High
- Music Alumni
- Veterans on Campus
- Men’s Soccer
What is a class-based reunion?
Class-based reunions are a gathering of alumni based on their graduation year (i.e. class of 2006, class of 1958, etc.). The Golden Anniversary Club Reunion is typically our only class-based reunion. However, we do recognize milestones, such as 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years reunions.
