The Gatton Academy is excited to celebrate its 10-year anniversary this fall! Gatton Academy Alumni and their guests are invited to all of our events. You will be able to register for the following events:

Saturday, August 19, 2017

Alumni Class-CPS Theater

Join Claus and Uta for an Alumni Class to create your own CPS comedy sketch.
Class limit: 30 people.

Time: 10:00 AM-12:00 PM
Location: FSH-Great Hall

Alumni Class with Professor Rutledge

Relive Harlaxton days and learn more about Western Kentucky’s own Pulitzer Prize-winning author Robert Penn Warren’s short-story “Blackberry Winter.” 
Class includes an on-campus literary field trip.
Class limit: 30 people.

Time: 10:00 AM-12:00 PM

Tim Talk

Join former director Dr. Tim Gott for one of his famous Tim Talks!

Welcome Reception

A formal welcome reception outside of Florence Schneider Hall will kick-off the weekend with Dr. Julia Link Roberts and Dr. Lynette Breedlove.

Class Reunion Dinners

Each class will receive email communication about the location of their alumni dinner. There is no cost to register for this event. Attendees will purchase their own food and drink at the event.

10-Year Class Reunion for class of 2008

The 2008 Class Reunion will include a buffet-style dinner, music, and a cash-bar.

Give back to the community and join others for a service project at Lost River Cave.

Nostalgia Hour and Audio Archives

Explore your old space and relive your memories in Florence Schneider Hall while participating in wing activities with the grandjuniors who live on your hall today. Explore the Common Areas you loved.  Share one of your Academy stories at our Audio Archive station so your voice will become a permanent piece of the Academy’s living history in the WKU Libraries’ Archive.

 Alumni Prom

Like prom, but better. Registration for this event includes meal for the evening, music, photo booth, and a cash bar.

Solar Eclipse Festival

This family-themed event includes admission onto the South Union Shaker Village grounds and museum, a prime location to view the solar eclipse, solar eclipse glasses, live music, games, and more. Food trucks will be available for food and drink purchase. Friends AND family are encouraged and invited to attend this event!
