Alumni student organization welcomes new members to promote WKU Spirit

Western Kentucky University’s Student Alumni Ambassadors (SAA) recently welcomed 15 new members, bringing the membership total to 27 for Fall 2018. 

“The WKU Student Alumni Ambassadors are the official student representatives of the WKU Alumni Association. During the recruitment process, we look for well-rounded students who are involved on campus, excel in academics and have a desire to promote the WKU Spirit,” said Allie Sharp, the WKU Alumni Association’s Coordinator of Student & Young Alumni Engagement and WKU Student Alumni Ambassador Advisor. “Our mission as an organization is to strive to promote WKU and communicate the importance of alumni support to all students, donors and alumni.”

The following students are new members of the SAA:

Marc Ahlers of Louisville, Ky., is a senior majoring in Marketing.

Shelby Blythe of Auburn, Ky., is a junior studying Corporate and Organizational Communications with a double minor in Marketing and Event Planning.

Jordan Cummings of Bowling Green, Ky., is a sophomore majoring in Accounting with a Criminology minor.

Grace Davis of Louisville, Ky., is a junior pursuing a degree in Nursing.

Emily Goshen of Naperville, Ill., is a junior studying Dental Hygiene.

Macy Kaiser of Stanford, Ky., is a senior majoring in Advertising with minors in Sales and Graphic Design.

Isaiah Masters of Sturgis, Ky., is a senior pursuing a degree in Healthcare Administration.

Maddie McClure of Bowling Green, Ky., is a junior majoring in Public Relations with minors in Agriculture and Event Planning.

Elizabeth Medley of Springfield, Ky., is a sophomore studying Broadcasting with a minor in Criminology.

Taylor-Grace Mingo of Stanford, Ky., is a sophomore pursuing a degree in Marketing and Fashion Merchandising.

Kenzie Moore of Butler, Ky., is a junior studying Marketing and Business Data and Analytics.

Mackenzie Pettus of Bowling Green, Ky., is a senior majoring in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education.

Megan Rowe of Winchester, Ky., is a sophomore pursuing a degree in Biology.

Dylan Sanford of Owensboro, Ky., is a senior studying Biology and Biophysics.

Kyah Stewart of Nashville, Tenn., is a sophomore majoring in Strategic Marketing.

“I’m excited and look forward to seeing all the impactful work these students will do during their time on the Hill. I think each of them will be able to bring something unique to the table to help grow and advance the organization as a whole,” Sharp said.

Chartered in 1913, the WKU Alumni Association works to “involve all members of the WKU Family in the life of the institution,” and encourages alumni to develop strong ties with each other and the University through an engaging mix of programs, activities and events. Currently, more than 110,000 WKU alumni live around the globe.
