10 new members elected to WKU Young Alumni Council




The WKU Young Alumni Council (YAC) recently added 10 new members to serve for three years in collaboration with the WKU Alumni Association.

Composed of alumni who have graduated within the last 10 years, YAC members maintain ties with their alma mater, provide important feedback to the WKU Alumni Association for programming, and advance and support the general welfare of WKU through programs and scholarships.

The WKU Young Alumni Council is a way for Hilltoppers to stay engaged after they’ve left the Hill,” said Allie Sharp, WKU Alumni Association Coordinator of Student and Young Alumni Engagement. “Our Council members hope to help cultivate the relationship between the University and young alumni. We look to these alumni to help advance and support the mission of the WKU Alumni Association through supporting scholarships, intentional programming and meaningful connections with our young constituents.”

The following new members will serve for three-year terms:

Nasarin Artoul of Minneapolis, Minn., a 2016 alumna, is a Credit Analyst for Wells Fargo Bank Business Group.

Alexis Orlando Gonzalez-Lopez of Ashland, Ky., a 2011 alumna and Annual Member of the WKU Alumni Association, is an attorney at VanAntwerp Attorneys, LLP.

Erin Holderman of Bowling Green, Ky., a 2009 and 2017 alumna and Annual Member of the WKU Alumni Association, is a Program and Events Management Coordinator at WKU.

Reginald Lane of Gainesville, Fla., a 2010 alumnus and Lifetime Member of the WKU Alumni Association, is the Associate Director of Sorority and Fraternity Affairs at the University of Florida.

Caitlin Metcalfe Moore of Bowling Green, Ky., a 2012 and 2015 alumna and Annual Member of the WKU Alumni Association, works at Hancock Bank & Trust Company.

Jeffrey Taylor Walker of North Vernon, Ind., a 2015 alumnus and Annual Member of the WKU Alumni Association, is a Community Wellness Coordinator at Purdue University Cooperative Extension.

David Edwin Waymon of Bowling Green, Ky., a 2009 and 2015 alumnus, is a Senior E-Commerce Support Specialist at Fruit of the Loom.

Jordan Marie Webb of Nashville, Tenn., a 2017 alumna, is a Development Coordinator at Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation with Saint Thomas Health.

Jordan White of Bowling Green, Ky., a 2016 alumna and Annual Member of the WKU Alumni Association, is a teacher at Warren County Public Schools.

Tanner Smith Wilson of Owensboro, Ky., a 2015 and 2018 alumna and Annual Member of the WKU Alumni Association, is a Speech-Language Pathologist at John Thompson Speech Pathology.

 “We are delighted to welcome these outstanding Hilltoppers to our Young Alumni Council,” said Dr. Anthony McAdoo, Executive Director of the WKU Alumni Association. “They will help us shape engagement strategies to transition all of our new graduates into the alumni network and develop relevant programs and services for our young alumni audience. Additionally, they will build upon the Young Alumni Council’s tradition of generating membership and charitable support for their endowed scholarship for upper-class students at WKU.”
