The WKU Alumni Family has more than 114,000 members who have unique experiences, perspectives and cultures but share a common bond as Hilltoppers. We believe we can best serve the interests of current students, the University and our alumni community by focusing not only on our differences but on the strengths and talents each individual or group brings forth to maximize the impact of an inclusive organization.

The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council was chartered by the WKU Alumni Association National Board of Directors on April 18, 2020, to advance diversity and inclusion among alumni and WKU. The Council will work closely with the Board, staff and volunteers of the Association to ensure that alumni and friends are engaged and included without regard to age, gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious affiliation, military service, veteran status or disability.

The WKUAA DE&I Council will lead efforts to ensure the Association is an inclusive organization for alumni from all dimensions of diversity and to engage alumni and friends through specific programs and services that support and align with Western Kentucky University’s diversity, equity and inclusion goals.
