The Society of African American Alumni provides 4 recurring scholarships valued at $1,000 each for African American students who have proven to be leaders amongst their peers. As the cost of college steadily rises, Society wants to be prepared to offer these students more financial help. In October 2008, Society kicked off our $100,000 “Be the Dream” campaign in hopes of bringing the scholarship endowment fund up to $180,000 which would double the amount of scholarship money given to these students.
Put simply, every gift matters. Your role is to participate, no matter how big or small the amount you feel compelled to give turns out to be. Did you know you can have an automatic deduction from your account set up? Imagine what the power of all of us giving $5, $10, $20 each month could add up to be!
