Longtime WKU partner Graves Gilbert Clinic supports Investiture Ceremony

Graves Gilbert Clinic, based in Bowling Green, Ky., is a longtime WKU corporate partner. Since 1989, the Clinic, which has locations in eight southern Kentucky counties, has supported various University programs, with the most recent donation coming through the full sponsorship of President Timothy C. Caboni’s Investiture Ceremony.

In 1937, G.Y. Graves and J.T. Gilbert forged a partnership that by 1941 had formed Bowling Green’s first multi-specialty group. By 1969, the clinic housed 15 of the city’s 37 total physicians.

Today, more than 175 Graves Gilbert physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners lead the way in medical innovation and technology as they serve south central Kentucky patients with the same level of care and dedication that their founders promised more than 80 years ago.

Christopher Thorn has been the Chief Executive Officer of Graves Gilbert Clinic since 2007.

“Graves Gilbert Clinic is dedicated to providing your loved ones and you with the high-quality care that you expect and deserve,” said Christopher Thorn. “We recognize and appreciate the importance of WKU in this collaborative endeavor. Many of our physicians and staff are either alumni or proud parents of current and future WKU alumni. We are grateful for all that WKU has done for the residents of South Central Kentucky and we are proud to work together and support WKU and President Caboni.”

Over the years, the Clinic has supported diverse areas across campus including the Kentucky Museum, the Suzanne Vitale Clinical Education Complex, the Southern Kentucky Book Fest, Housing and Residence Life, the WKU Police Department and several scholarship funds. The Clinic also provides annual underwriting for WKYU-PBS and WKU Public Radio. In 2017, Graves Gilbert Clinic established the Graves Gilbert Clinic Fund for Excellence in Healthcare. Graves Gilbert Clinic’s generous sponsorship of President Caboni’s Investiture Ceremony has provided the full cost of this historic event.
