At WKU, we wear red, we show up and we give back.

It’s just what Hilltoppers do.

Join us on April 23 for WKU’s Day of Giving—a great way to share the WKU Spirit and support the University.

WKU is committed to remaining an institution of access and opportunity as we transform the lives of our students. Let’s get the entire WKU Family together and show both current and future Hilltoppers that they have an entire community here for them.

Celebrate Day of Giving by wearing your WKU red and sharing your photos with @wkualumni. Be sure to include #WKUDayofGiving.

Encourage others in your social networks to join in the celebration of the WKU Spirit!

Whether it’s scholarships, opportunities beyond the classroom or student services—however you choose to support current and future Hilltoppers, your gift of any amount today makes an incredible difference.

Areas that can use your support now!

The Alumni Helping Students Initiative addresses the urgent needs of our students that require immediate solutions. At times, unforeseen circumstances arise, leaving our students needing immediate assistance. Whether purchasing their next meal, auto repairs or assistance to travel to work or return home, covering a gap in rent, or ensuring access to essential utilities for off-campus housing, these challenges are real and can become a barrier to a student’s ability to keep climbing.

To help alleviate these burdens, we've established a fund to provide gift cards to students in need. Administered in conjunction with WKU’s Dean of Students, Dr. Martha Sales, who will validate needs and facilitate immediate solutions, this fund ensures that our students can navigate unexpected challenges without unnecessary barriers hindering their success. As Dean of Students, Dr. Sales will work with students to maximize all available resources, but sometimes the most pressing need is the most urgent.

This is where you can step in. Your contribution to this fund directly impacts the lives of our students, empowering them to thrive despite adversity. Join us in supporting our students' well-being and academic journey by donating today

How alumni can help:

  1. Donate to the WKU Alumni Initiatives fund in April, and the Association will use funds collected from all alumni to purchase gift cards needed or distribute funds in the most appropriate manner.
  2. Purchase Visa gift cards in increments of $50 and mail or deliver to WKU Alumni Association, Alumni Helping Students Initiative, 292 Alumni Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42101.  Please include a gift receipt for resolving issues and documenting your donation.  Please also provide your name and contact information (phone, email, and mailing address).
