Backstage passes are yours! The Kentucky Museum is beginning to install Sonic Landscape – a multimedia-rich exhibit showcasing our region’s diverse musical heritage from the early 1900s to today. And we need your help to make it come to life. While the Bowling Green Convention & Visitors Bureau provided seed money, we need at least double that to install this exhibition and present five years of programs. Our community can contribute to these costs with gifts as little as $5. Here’s a few examples of what your gift supports: · $5 – Packs of screws and shop towels · $10 – Foam core boards and paint tray liners · $15 – Mural paints, command strips and paint brush kits · $20 – Nitrile gloves, drop cloth sets and ink cartridges for printing · $50 – Photo printer paper, acrylic label triangles and gallons of paint · $100 – Conservation-quality frames for vinyl records or acoustic panels to help with sound buffering for audio control · $300 – RODE Podcasting kit for our new podcast series to share oral histories connected with the exhibition · $500 – Scaffolding for our team’s safety during construction Sonic Stagecrew is your behind-the-scenes pass to the exhibit and all the programs – concerts, film screenings, podcasts, object stories and more – that will accompany it. Everyone who donates to this crowdfunding campaign will become part of “the crew” and receive monthly updates on our progress, sneak previews of exhibit content, credits on the exhibit’s website and Thank You wall, and an invitation to the Preview Party before the exhibit opens to the public in 2025. Support this project and make a gift to our campaign! We’ll take care of the rest! Prefer to give via check?
